Studio Policies and Announcements
Winter Recital:
The 2026 winter recital will take place on Friday, December 17, between 4:15 and 8:00 PM.
If you register before November, the registration cost is $15.00 per student. Registration from May onwards will cost $20.00.
Each student will receive one free ticket. Additional tickets will cost $5.00. Performers do not need to purchase a ticket.

Cancellation Policy
Your lesson time is reserved just for you. Because of this, missed lessons are non-refundable. The only exception to refunds is if your teacher needs to cancel.
Lessons cancelled within 48 hours of their starting time cannot be given a makeup lesson.
If you are unable to attend your regular lesson, you may arrange a make-up lesson directly with your teacher. Make-up lessons must:
- Be scheduled within 30 days of the missed lesson.
- Be at a mutually agreed-upon time (based on teacher availability).
We understand illness and unexpected events happen, and make-up lessons are our way of ensuring students can still stay on track.
*Exceptions may be made for prolonged sickness, family emergencies, or extenuating circumstances on a case-by-case basis.
To ensure the health and safety of everyone, please do not rely on your music teacher to decide if your child is well enough for a lesson. If your child has a contagious illness, has stayed home from school, or is generally unwell, please keep them home from their lesson. While we understand that late cancellations can be inconvenient, the health of all students is a priority.
For weather-related cancellations, we will offer a virtual lesson during your regular lesson time.
If we cannot attend a lesson, we will always provide as much notice as possible and will offer a make-up lesson or a refund on your next invoice.
Payment
Lesson payments are due on the first of each month.
Invoices for the upcoming month’s lessons will be issued at the end of the previous month.
Monthly payment must be made on Teachworks or by cheque, cash, or via e-transfer to @dominique@minischoolofmusic.com.
If tuition is more than 5 days past due, a $25.00 late fee will be added to your next invoice.
If your teacher misses a lesson that you have already paid for, you will be offered a make-up lesson, or have the cost of that lesson deducted from the following month’s invoice.
If you decide to stop attending the studio, any lessons reserved for you must be paid for/cannot be refunded, as they were saved specifically for you. You must provide at least 4 weeks notice to be refunded for any future lessons.
